Remembering Rev George Smith: A Founding Pioneer and Lifelong Champion of PCU
We are so sad to hear of the passing of Rev George Smith who died on Wednesday 23rd April.
Rev Smith was an early pioneer of The Pentecostal Credit Union - one of the 16 who originally met in the living room of Rev and Mrs Jones to start the credit union. He worked tirelessly with the founders to establish PCU and was one of the first employees of the organisation during those early days of growth in the early 1980’s.
He left work at PCU to take up full time ministry as Lead Pastor at Ransom AME Zion Church Mallinson Road Battersea, but remained always a champion and active promoter of PCU.
A PCU stalwart - he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. RIEP 💔
